So I haven’t posted anything on here for a while now! I haven’t been particularly busy but it’s just a bit difficult to post things with no internet in my flat!
I’m spending another day off work in the local Starbucks, I don’t plan to move for hours whilst I soak up their free wifi.
This last week has been lovely. I’ve seen Other Lives at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen which was the best gig I’ve been to in a while. Their sound slightly resembled Mumford and Sons but the female’s dreamy voice and violin sounds made it more euphoric. I’ll definitely be listening to this band a lot more. (PS Thank you Pete for the free entry!) Yesterday we went to The National History Museum and V&A which were also great experiences even though I’ve been to both several times now.
Looking forward to Bestival now, I can’t believe it’s a week today! Must sees are Bjork, Zola Jesus, James Blake (providing that the audience isn’t ridiculously crammed like Field Day), Noah And The Whale, Santigold and Yuck. I’m sure I’ve missed out a couple of acts.
Three weeks today til my 20th. I feel so old! My only definite plan is to see Four Tet and Caribou live at Fabric, 23rd Sep. I wish they were playing at a different venue but it’s about time I actually experience this place.
Oh and my final note is best of luck to Kinnie The Explorer for the next few weeks in which they will be recording their debut album in France! Can’t wait to hear it.
